The effectiveness of our working dogs should not be underestimated. A highly-trained working dog is a very powerful visible deterrent that can have the same impact as up to 10 operatives. Our dog teams are trained to the highest industry standards (BS-8517) and they are constantly assessed by our in-house team of accredited former Police Instructors. The Working Dogs team not only provide guard dogs for on-site guarding and as dog units for our mobile patrol services, they also include detection dogs that are capable of drug, gun and explosives detection. Animal welfare is of the upmost importance to us, and each dog is housed and cared for by their dedicated handlers.

General purpose dogs

Our working dog teams can deploy at short notice nationwide to protect your site, venue or residence. We generally use German Shepherd Dogs, Belgian Shepherds and Dutch Herder Dogs for this role. The mere presence of these guard dogs is proven to deter unwanted people from a location.

Licensed detection dogs

Our detection dogs train using real drugs and can detect all manner of illicit substances. They have both proactive and passive search capability, enabling cost-effective search of buildings, vehicles, open spaces and crowds far quicker and much more effectively than normal searching.

Patrol dogs

Our Dog Units are an extremely useful addition to our area patrol services. They have proven to be very effective visible deterrents. Furthermore, during active response situations, they have been used by us on numerous occasions to support Police during area searches and suspect tracking.
